Selection - One Who Unites Heaven and Earth

from Heaven and Earth Become One
Page: 2/3

Since I am well aware of this danger through my own experience, I caution people not to fall into the trap of idly wishing for psychic abilities. I explain it to them this way: “Because you have your guardian spirits (enlightened ancestors) and guardian divinities with you at all times, guiding you and protecting you from harm, it would be good if you could direct your thoughts to them throughout your daily life. If you keep asking for their assistance, you will naturally acquire whatever correct psychic abilities you may need.” I also mention that if there is any kind of danger coming your way, your spiritual and divine protectors are always working to guide you away from it in some manner or other. I can say this with absolute certainly because, upon finishing my own disciplines, I became clearly aware that my guardian divinity and spirits had been watching over me from directly behind, since before the time of my birth.
Had I known from the start what I am now conveying to others, I might have attained my present state earlier and with less discomfort. As it happened, though, there was no other choice, because it was one of my missions in life to let other people know about the experiences I went through in reaching my own awakening. Because those experiences enabled me to provide guidance to others, their purpose encompasses future generations. Of course, terms like ‘guardian divinities’ and ‘guardian spirits’ have been employed since olden times, but their existence has not previously been explained in such clear and practical terms as I am doing now. I know full well that the intention of the universal God can never be realized on Earth without the aid of our guardian spirits and divinities.
One of the manifestations of the universal God is God as the universal law. Being without thought, form, or emotion, the law exists as the eternal flow of great life, within which streams each smaller, human life. When these smaller lives first came into being, ethereal substance was formed, and then physical embodiments described as ‘material substance’ came into being for the first time. These smaller lives, branching out from the great life, began to reside within individually distinct subconscious and physical embodiments.36 At that time, there arose a sense of one individual life being separate from another. This notion of separateness gave rise to the physical instincts of self-protection, which in turn generated a variety of self-centered desires. This led to the activity of karma, and a karmic realm took shape.
If this world were ruled by divine law alone, it would inevitably have perished amidst the whirlpools of karma. This conclusion can be reached by anyone who is able to observe this world objectively. Divine law is without thought, form, or emotion, for if the law had emotions, it would no longer be the law. And so, it follows that what is without thought or emotion does not think of rescuing humanity from the activity of karma.
