Chapter 3: The Bears and the Whale
Page: 3/3

Q: When the bears eat the whale meat, does the soul of the whale become one with the bears?

A: Yes. Because its physical elements merge into the life-energy of the bears, the whale’s life works in harmony with the life of the bears.

Q: Does this interaction lead to any future connection between whales and bears?

A: Yes, of course it does. At some future time, a bear may have the opportunity of doing something good for a whale. That is how nature works. There is a perfect balance of give-and-take. It is not that the whales and bears have a clear consciousness of doing this; it is simply that they move in harmony with the universal law. I suppose we could call it instinct. All animals and insects have instincts. They create their instincts through the missions that flow to them from the source of the universal law.

Q: In looking at other kinds of animals—dogs for example—we see a lot of individual differences. Some dogs have very noble personalities and can remain calm in any situation. Other dogs seem very emotional and easily get angry.

A: This is a matter of individual evolution. There is an overall evolution of the species, and this occurs through the individual evolution of each animal.

Q: Can the same thing be said about whales?

A: Yes, the principle is exactly the same.

Q: So, for this particular whale, does her noble death have an effect on her individual evolution?

A: Yes. In her next lifetime she will be a leader among whales and will serve as a good guide and example for others. Think about the migratory birds that fly through the sky. One of them is always the leader, isn’t it? This does not happen by accident. The leader has developed many fine qualities through its experiences in past realms, and that is why it can serve as a guide for other birds.

Q: Do animals have auras, as human beings do?

A: Yes, all living things have auras. Without auras, they cannot live. ‘Aura’ equals ‘energy,’ or ‘life.’ If we have no aura, it means that we have left this world spiritually. In other words, we have died or are in the process of dying.

Q: Do you believe that the whale who appeared on the beach had a beautiful aura?

A: Yes, I do, most definitely.
